Metropolitan Opry Mercifully Late This Season

The Met began its Saturday-afternoon broadcast season on December 7th, with a 12:30 PM Rigoletto. But happily, most of the Broadcast Met Oprys are starting at 1:00 PM this season, which means we’ll get in almost all of our scheduled four big hours.

It may surprise some, but there are HAH fans who also like grand opera, and listen to the Met broadcasts.  So here’s the list of upcoming Oprys.  In each case, HAH will end about 10-15 minutes before the Met broadcast time, in order to accommodate David Elliott’s “Met Prelude.”
