HAH (and George, of Course) Make Powerline!

Thanks to Scott Johnson and the now-venerable Powerline Blog for including links here.  Have to admit I slipped them a hint, but it’s nice to have it noticed. /CL

George Jones, RIP

Powerline also includes this YouTube video of a live performance, in the Knoxville Civic Coliseum in 1993.  Watch George turn the last syllable of the last word, “today” into at least five:

UPDATE 2: YouTube is a dangerous place; once there, it’s hard to extricate yourself.  I got to watching this live two-song medley with George and Tammy.  Not sure of the date, but after Tammy’s book and their breakup.  George is not exactly sober, but he has said he never was at that point:
